Broke during the first cleaning

Broke during the first cleaning. It costs too much to just break it. The item is still usable but the silicone has detached from the metal base and it's annoying having to pick it up every time I pull my hair out or move it around.

Good weight, best drain filter

Good weight so it sits nicely over the drain although I tend to just toss it down the drain. Since one of us showers and the other takes a bath, it's nice to have such a strong, easy-to-place hair trap. Great for catching hair.

Terrible product, especially for the money.

I needed a shower drain and wanted it to be better than the small flat ones in the stores. I saw an ad for it and thought it might be a gimmick, but unfortunately it's not. It does not stay above the drain as the water running down pushes it out of the drain and is very difficult to clean. 3/4 of the time it's not even over the drain. Buyer Warning! It sounded great at first, but was awful to use. I couldn't send it back either. Save your money and go cheap. Honestly, he doesn't deserve anyโ€ฆ

Pretty decent - kitchen and bathroom lamps

Definitely clogs up hair every day. I'm not sure how much he actually catches, but at least he's doing a decent job. I read other reviews before purchasing and firstly there is no suction to hold this in place. He sits over the drain and that's it. However, due to its weight, it does not move. Second, it doesn't allow water to run down the drain very quickly. At first I thought something was wrong, but that's exactly how it works. The hair is not pulled out as quickly, giving it time to wrapโ€ฆ

I have a stall shower where the drain is in the middle of the floor. It was definitely very effective at keeping my hair out of the drain, but it also kept my shower from draining. So every now and then I had to strategically slide over it to drain the water. I never tried to use suction, I just put it on the drain so it was easy to remove. It was as easy to clean as a brush because my hair got tangled in it. I don't need an inch of water on the bottom of my pedestal shower so I would probablyโ€ฆ

Product needs improvement

I had high hopes for this product after reading the reviews. However, after using it, I am very dissatisfied with this purchase and have returned it. While it did collect hair in my shower, I also found that the overall design made it difficult to remove trapped hair. Another issue I had with the design was that this hair catcher caused the water in my shower to drain SLOWLY so I ended up with a ring of foam on my tub near the drain. UPDATED: Stays in place and catches hair well, but is difficult to clean and disassembles

UPDATE: After using this hair trap for a little over a month, I am taking two stars for the one mentioned Problems from my previous review only made it worse: The metal and silicone parts now separate easily and come loose every time I pull my hair out of this device with my fingers. ============ I bought this hair strainer in hopes that it would reduce the frequency of calls to the plumber and "pulling out" clumps of hair from the deep pipe under the shower drain. It appears to be well madeโ€ฆ
