These pillowcases are perfect for what I ordered them for, children's pillowcases. I designed the grandchildren's room in dark blue and red. These pillowcases were just the right shade of red. Same color as pictured. I would have liked the color to be a bit more yellow - like chartreuse, but it's more like a real lime. With a light satin finish, these pillowcases are much softer and thinner than I expected from 300TC. The fabric is not thick, but not thin either. I took off a star because these cases are too long for the standard size even though they are sold as "Standard/Queen". If they were open at one end it would be better than the fold style. I love pillowcases! Orange is just as bright and beautiful as in the photo. I wasn't sure if I wanted closures, but I really do. Yes, this is different than the standard pillowcase opening that most of us grew up with. The closure is very similar to a pillowcase BUT the hole is not in the center of the pillow like most pillowcases I've seen. The hole is in the upper third of the back.
