Easy to install, great sound in 2007 Tacoma with JBL system

Star deducted because the first one was used. Revine replaced him and all is well. Installation took about 15 minutes. The cable fits snugly over the detachable tray next to the steering wheel, no drilling required, simply remove the heater panel with a cutter, remove the 4 10mm screws on the stereo, plug in and feed the cable through. I also used duct tape to secure the small control box.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

This resulted in a complete system crash after several days of work.

After several days of operation, this led to a total failure of the system. First the plug disappeared. After a few minutes the music from the CD started changing and eventually all the buttons became unresponsive. I couldn't even turn off the whole system. When I removed the adapter, the system worked properly again. UPDATE: Although the device stopped working and I couldn't use it, the seller was very responsive to my message and eventually I got my money back, so I changed 1 star to 3.

Exactly what I needed.

It took about 30 minutes to install in Toyota Hylander for the first time. I combined the pass-through socket and placed it in an unused spot on the center console so a more accessible/longer plug can be used (see if I can snap some pics). Sounds good. I'm usually very picky about sound quality and I expected it to be bad, but I was wrong! I hear slight distortion at VERY high volumes, but that's to be expected from something that doesn't have proper amps/speakers. I am very happy with the…

Works fine but needs wizard to install

Works fine, here's a 2005 Corolla. I made sure the rear port is 6+6 before ordering, which means you have to pull out the radio / CD conveniently. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could even use the CD player with a device connected to it. If you have a CD in the player, this accessory will be ignored, regardless of whether it is playing or not. To use the accessory, just take a CD out of the player (it's all controlled by the Toyota head unit anyway). The volume is a bit lower as…

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very important. Ease of installation. Works well.

This device does exactly what it was designed to do. This gave my 2005 Toyota Matrix an AUX port so I could connect a bluetooth adapter. Now I don't have to fiddle with my old FM radio adapter that kept hissing and asking me to find an empty channel on the FM disc. Installation was very easy. I had to plug into the back of my standard stereo and there was only one connector that would fit the jack on this product so I couldn't screw it up. By far the hardest part was the 20 minutes it took to…

05 Corolla aux replacement, perfect as always, a must see!

In early 2016 I received a used 2005 Corolla LE. After learning that I could just take out the stereo and add a proprietary accessory adapter (along with a few previous steps to remove the console to access that stereo), I knew I had to have it. I don't listen to terrestrial radio (except NPR, obvs) because I'm not from this planetary body and CDs are just a little pet pig I can't remember the name of but has been an upper class hit over time. This analogy doesn't have to make sense, and you…
