My rescue dog (Jack) is quite shy and definitely helps a lot when adults/kids come up and pet him; He is friendly but scared when people approach him and has to put up with them in his time. We live in an apartment so we walk a lot every day and his fear of people is improving. I definitely think this leash helped make that possible. A bit big for my £5 chips but people from 10ft (or so) away will notice! I bought this because I live in a coastal town where there are a lot of young pet owners who can sometimes be careless with their dogs (and their training). This product has helped my dogs stay safe from other dog owners.
