I ordered these for my bettas as I didn't have much stuff on the tank and I know they love to rest in the plants down below to have. You totally love them! I always catch them by the leaves, which is very nice.

They encourage lazy males to hide just below the surface with a pad they hang from, so they only have to raise their heads slightly for regular breaths. I think placement is important. I buy them every few years to keep my males happy. Suction cups are great for glass containers (I think acrylic). Some bettas like them, some don't, and in this situation I use them to keep the floating logs in place when my filter is running.
