We'd been using 2 tea towels to "bib" my 93 year old MIL when she eats. They never stayed in place and had to be washed frequently. However, if you carry much weight in your hips/thighs I would recommend sizing up as it is pretty fitted through that area. Find underwear without panty lines to wear with it.
