Market entry to better trade terms for traders. Not really the place for HODLers, as the sister company Coinbase is. GDAX is a safe place to conduct transactions, and they don't accept Tether.
Pros
- GDAX is the more sophisticated side of market entry point Coinbase. More Americans have gotten into this space via Coinbase than any other source*. The exchange here taught me my first lessons about crypto candle charts. By making me google what I was looking at. They made me a smarter consumer, but only because I exist when the internet does. *Probably, I don't know, but it sounds reasonable. Coinbase, right?
Cons
- Comparably limited range of products available for exchange, but in many ways, not accepting Tether here makes this one of the best possible places to do an exchange.
