It's been 3 months and I'm still running

I ordered MEDIUM for my size 34C it runs on what I feel is not enough support for this activity. Hiking, cycling etc.? No problem! I do it regularly. I've had Asphalt and Fuchsia bras for three months now and have washed them many times. They were even in the dryer. Still offer good support and I've had absolutely no issues with them. What is that smell and color?

I took the bra out of the bag and it smelled so strongly of chemicals that I decided to soak it in warm water and dish soap. After 4 soaks, the bra still sheds water with a yellow tint. Remember that this is a gray bra and if it were dyed the water would be light gray. No, it's yellow. What chemical causes such an unpleasant color?
