Non Original Metra Car Audio and Video Installation

I was hoping this would fix the lack of sound in my rear speakers but it didn't help. The colors were plain, but unfortunately the tweeters made a buzzing noise that wasn't present on the previous suspension. This is not the original Metra suspension. 2004 Acura RSX Type-S with Bose system.

Buy it if you have Type S!

Ideal for 04 RSX Type S. Literally matches the color of the wires. And for RCA cables, white RCA -> front left gray RCA -> front right green RCA -> rear left purple RCA -> rear right As if you can't screw it up. My turn signal no longer works. Strange. It's Sunday, I'll check. Maybe the fuse has blown.

Pros
  • 1 year trial period

  • Negative present

Good for being the best in automotive and automotive electronics

I have 5 of these between my car (2006 RSX Type S with factory Bose) and cars so far used in which I installed them. The build quality is good. If you have never installed a radio, you can easily do so. Take butt connectors and crimping tools (or solder/shrink wrap) and connect the wires. Red to red, yellow to yellow, etc. However, the orange wire on this harness needs to be connected to the orange/white wire on the stereo (at least on Pioneer). The other orange wire on the harness is unused…

Pros
  • 4 RCA plugs connect to aftermarket radio preamp outputs

  • Not sure

Works for RSX Factory BOSE system, found 1 issue.

Worked well to install DdX57S Kenwood Double Din on a 2005 Acura RSX Type S with a factory BOSE system. Use RCA connectors for 4 door speakers. The factory BOSE still works perfectly and the whole setup brought the car radio back to life. The only issue I had was that I found that some of the pins in the harness were not fully seated and fully inserted. This can easily lead to problems. So I suggest looking closely at the wiring harness and taking a small, non-scratching pair of pliers and…

ATTENTION! Not a genuine Metra product

This is not a genuine Metra harness. It arrived in a USPS envelope in which it was disassembled. No Metra packaging, no part number, no paperwork to prove it's a Metra product. The plug is also white instead of blue like Honda's factory plugs (Metra uses factory plugs, google it). Thought I'd give it a try, I've been dying to put my new radio up this weekend. I hooked up all the RCAs and necessary cables to my 2002 RSX Type S (factory Bose system) and there was no hissing from the front…

Made for RSX 2002 and up with Bose stereo

As other reviewers said, this wiring harness made installation easy. Unfortunately, this was not my first wiring harness. I first got a "straight" cable (not an RCA plug) when I plugged it into a Pioneer CD player. It took me a long time to figure out which wire goes where. Little did I know then that my 2006 Bose RSX Type S has two amplifiers, one for four speaker outputs and one for a subwoofer. Connecting directly to the speaker output of the stereo created an annoying white noise…
