This tape will not reduce the temperature more than 90 degrees. My guess is that it can reflect heat to any degree, but it can also do extreme temperatures. I'm obsessing over this band, the left side of the engine bay is gold. It's not sticky but will stick to almost anything in the engine bay. Dusty parts? No problem, just wipe and it sticks. The application is more like vinyl than tape. Very controllable and can easily flatten bubbles with a map. Highly recommended.

I was looking for something that would have a slightly cooler charge (pre-turbo) for my Focus ST and lower the temperature in the engine bay.
