Easy installation, works as advertised.

This tailgate pad was perfect for my needs (9ft surfboard in short bed), the buckles are metal and protected with rubber to prevent them from scratching the tailgate paint. Will stay for sure. However, install it so that the buckles are inside the tailgate and not outside.

Cons

Great soup filling

I've been using this product for about a month and I absolutely love it. I go kayaking a few times a week and it's a lot more convenient than stuffing a pillow on the trunk lid and hoping it doesn't fall out during the ride. The only criticism would be that I wouldn't trust the belt alone on the freeway. Just because you're not a ratchet, you'll never be able to tighten them that tight. But it's a great first layer of security with a ratchet on top.

Pros
  • Surf and Windsurf Stand
Cons
  • No

Works great so far

I am happy with this product so far. Very easy to assemble and looks very solid. All straps are tightened with clips that feel well made and sturdy. Just used it for the first time and it did a great job of holding my 11ft paddle on my truck's 6ft platform. I was cruising the interstate at 65 mph and encountered a few bumps in the road to the launch site and that kept the paddle board stable. Other reviewers indicated that the internal padding is a weak point. I can't say either way, but noteโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Trunk and holder
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Ideal for short beds and long boards

Excellent quality, very glad I bought this and no other brand. All 3 straps are nice and thick with a rubber tread covering each friction buckle. I have successfully transported 2 10.5ft paddle boards with my 5ft 7" truck bed with no problems.

Pros
  • LIFETIME GUARANTEE and replacement in case of failure due to manufacturing defects.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
