## What is Coinomi

Coinomi is a non-custodial multi-chain wallet for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux, launched in 2014. It supports more than 10,000 assets and NFTs across 50+ blockchains, with built-in swaps through partners and DEXes, card purchases and a dApp browser. It is operated by Loksias SA of Geneva, Switzerland.

## Who holds the keys

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Key control | Non-custodial: private keys are generated and kept on the user's device. |
| Seed phrase | One HD (BIP44) recovery passphrase backs up all coins in a wallet; multiple wallets can be imported. |
| Account model | No KYC or account to access funds; the vendor's servers hide users' IP addresses. |

## Features and supported networks

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Android, iOS, and desktop for Windows, macOS and Linux. |
| Supported networks | Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and 50+ chains; EVM networks Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, Avalanche, Gnosis and BNB Smart Chain added in June 2025. |
| Swaps | Built-in exchange between hundreds of assets via partners and DEXes. |
| Buy / sell | Card purchases through partner Simplex. |
| Staking | Cold staking for supported assets. |

| Coin control | SegWit address modes, dust-attack protection, do-not-spend flags and custom miner fees; connection to the user's own Bitcoin node. |

## Security and audits

- Closed source: the Coinomi GitHub organisation publishes only two utility repositories, not the wallet apps.
- Responsible disclosure programme by email with PGP; eligible reports can earn bounties.

## Fees

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Wallet | Free; no fees for sending or receiving, only network (miner) fees. |

## History

| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| 2014 | Coinomi launched. |
| 11 June 2025 | Added eight EVM networks, including Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain. |

## Risks and caveats

- Only the user holds the keys, so the recovery passphrase must be backed up; the passphrase covers all coins in that wallet.
- Wallet source code is not public, so it cannot be independently reviewed.
- Swaps and card purchases are handled by third-party partners.

## About the developer

- **Legal entity**: Loksias SA, incorporated in Switzerland (privacy policy also names Loksias Sàrl).

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
