## What is OKX Wallet

OKX Wallet (also called OKX Web3 Wallet) is a self-custodial multi-chain wallet from the OKX group, available as a mobile app, a browser extension, on the web and inside the OKX exchange app. It supports 130+ networks and includes a DEX aggregator, staking and DApp access. Its assets are kept separately from OKX exchange accounts.

## Who holds the keys

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Key control | Self-custodial: the user alone controls the keys and can restore the wallet in any other compatible wallet. |
| Recovery | The seed phrase or private key is the only way to access the assets; the wallet does not save the password and cannot retrieve it. |
| Seed phrase | One seed phrase of 12, 18 or 24 words per wallet, from which an address and private key are derived for each chain. |
| Account model | No identity verification or account login is needed to use the wallet; it is separate from an OKX exchange account. |

## Features and supported networks

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Mobile app, browser extension, web version and WalletConnect; also reachable from the OKX exchange app (entry varies by region). |
| Supported networks | 130+ native chains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain. |
| Swaps | Built-in DEX aggregator routing across 100+ liquidity pools and DEXs. |
| Staking | On-chain staking and earn offers. |
| Sub-accounts | Up to 1,000 sub-accounts can be created at once. |
| dApp browser | Access to 1,000+ DApp protocols across networks. |

## Security and audits

- The wallet app code is not public; OKX publishes wallet SDKs on GitHub, and its audit report points to a non-public okwallet repository.
- SlowMist audited key generation, storage, usage, backup and destruction in the Android, iOS and extension clients from 2 to 20 March 2026: result Passed, with one low-risk issue and six suggestions.
- OKX publishes an audit report library (SlowMist, Halborn, MixBytes, OpenZeppelin, Zellic, CertiK and others) covering the wallet, DEX, X Layer and xAssets.
- Bug bounty on HackerOne; built-in scanning flags risky tokens, malicious DApps and addresses.

## Fees

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Wallet | No identity verification or sign-up needed; network fees apply. |
| Swaps | DEX interface fee of 0%, 0.1%, 0.25% or 0.5% depending on the token groups swapped (as of 31 October 2026). |
| Swaps (maximum) | 0.5% when a Group 1 or Group 2 token is swapped with other tokens. |

## History

| Date | Event |

| 15 August 2022 | Earliest archived OKX page for the wallet, then titled OKX Wallet, listing OKC, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and BSC. |
| 5 September 2023 | OKX help article describing the product as OKX Web3 Wallet first published. |
| 20 March 2026 | SlowMist completed a key-management audit of the wallet clients. |
| 22 October 2026 | In some regions the wallet entry moved inside the OKX app to Services, or users are directed to the standalone OKX Wallet app. |

- Blockchain transfers are irreversible; accidental or fraudulent transactions may not be recoverable.
- Wallet access inside the OKX app and available features depend on region and identity details.

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
