## What is Keeper Wallet

Keeper Wallet (formerly Waves Keeper) is a self-custodial wallet for the Waves blockchain, available as a browser extension, a mobile app and a web version. Keys are encrypted and stored on the user's device. It is owned by DLTech Ltd, a Seychelles company.

## Who holds the keys

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Key control | Self-custodial: secret phrases and private keys are encrypted with the user's Keeper password and stored on the device. |
| Custodian | The company does not store the seed or password and never sends them to its servers. |
| Seed phrase | A new account is created with a 15-word secret phrase. |
| Recovery | Access is restored from the secret phrase or an encrypted backup file; Email and Ledger accounts are not included in backups. |
| Account model | Accounts can be imported by secret phrase, private key, email account (WX Network) or Ledger device. |

## Features and supported networks

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Opera, Edge), iOS and Android app, and a web version. |
| Supported networks | Waves Mainnet by default; the web version (beta) also supports Ethereum through Multi-Coin accounts. |
| Swaps | Built-in token swaps through Swop.fi and Puzzle Swap pairs. |
| Hardware wallet support | Ledger Nano X and Nano S accounts can be added; transactions are confirmed in Keeper and on the device. |
| dApp browser | Websites request a signature for each transaction; the mobile app connects to dApps by QR code. |
| NFTs | Tokens and NFTs are shown under separate tabs; NFTs are grouped by creator address. |

## Security and audits

- Browser extension source code is published on GitHub under a proprietary DLTech Ltd licence that forbids modifying, copying or redistributing it; it is not an open-source licence.
- Seed phrases and private keys are encrypted with AES and stored locally; dApps and websites have no access to them (vendor statement).
- The Terms state there is no warranty that the service is error-free and that it may contain weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
- No third-party audit report or bug bounty is published on the official site or docs.

## Security incidents

Further incidents are reported by third parties (press, incident databases) but are not confirmed in the company’s own channels, so they are not listed here.

## Fees

| Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
| Wallet | No wallet fee is listed; Waves network fees apply, mostly 0.001-0.005 WAVES per transaction, payable in sponsored tokens (as of 31 October 2026). |

## Risks and caveats

- Losing the password or private keys can mean losing the funds; the company cannot recover them.
- Resetting a forgotten password deletes the stored seeds, which must then be re-imported from the secret phrase.
- Mainly a Waves wallet: Ethereum is supported only through Multi-Coin accounts in the beta web version.
- Third-party dApps reached through Keeper can be harmful; the company accepts no liability for them.

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
