I was mistakenly thinking this was more like an actual skirt, and less of a costume piece. The material feels very plastic-ey. This blanket/throw is really nice. It's very soft and it's not heavy at all when it's on top of you, so it's lightweight, however it's surprisingly warm. The fact that it's slightly larger than the average throw makes this perfect for me, or anyone who is a bit taller or wants their feet and neck covered with just a throw. I was extremely disappointed by these absorbers. I made sure to have everything ready to stick them into the mylar and immediately seal them up. They were not exposed to oxygen outside of the sealed bag for more than a minute yet only 2 of my bags ended up with the oxygen absorbed.
