Review on Nexo Card by Jeff Ayuba

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nexo is a good Crypto card but the wait list takes time

I have been into the Nexo game for long, staking my cryptocurrencies for a good return yearly and with the launch of it's Crypto card, it just makes things more easier. The card is slated to come with no hidden charges or transaction fees of any kind while using Nexo card to make transactions. I have seen many cards which comes with cashbacks for using and Nexo card also does the same. My only issue currently with this working model is that, with no fees and the added cashbacks, it might not be for long before Nexo goes into the fee requirement for usage. Many Crypto cards I have seen on Revain which comes with cashbacks usually have a requirement, for example, the Crypto(.)com card makes the staking of CRO tokens compulsory for users to access the card and gain access of it's cashbacks. Nexo us yet to indicate any of such as they claim that we can simply use the Nexo wallet app to load out address and spend on the card
Nexo card has another big issue to me, there is a wait list that takes time for one to get this card. I personally have been on this wait list for the past few months and it seems it will take more before I will ever get to see the Nexo card. I am glad though that the card accepts to be shipped to any country but it will take longer than expected to get this card. The security of the Nexo platform has been on streak since it's launch and am sure no one will have problems associated with using this card, that is if we ever get to see it and their standard operating agreement is not changed before then

Pros
  • There is no fees such as conversion fees, ATM withdrawal fees, loading fees etc. added to the usage of the Nexo card
  • There is an added advantage of using the Nexo card with a 2-5% cashback for transactions made using the card
  • High security of the centralized Nexo platform and insurance cover for any breaches
Cons
  • It's delivery is still depended on a wait list
  • It's no fee operating agreement might be changed in the future
