Update: October 13, 2018 Upgrading my rating from four stars to one star. Bought this pad in May 2018. Five months later we found that the heating elements had all settled to the bottom of the bag. This causes lumps or bumps on the heating elements when placed behind the back and uneven heating, as well as bruising or burning (I'm not a doctor so I don't know what they are, but they are). on my wife's back where my wife sits on a heating pad, even at low temperatures. They cause more discomfort than they relieve. The block is not suitable for our purposes. I would return it if I could, but it's too late for that. Not recommended if you need a pillow to place behind your back in an upright position. The bag can work if it is placed horizontally on your body.==================================== = ========================================== My original review follows: The heating pad Works flawlessly. Note that the instructions for use can be confusing. This means that the tabs on the side of the connector are pressed to separate the cable from the pad. However, there are NO protrusions on the connector. This is a part. Its purpose is to ensure users disconnect the cable from the pad by holding the sides of the connector, not the cable, when pulling. After that, the connector can be easily separated. When you put it back together you can feel it click into place. When you disconnect the wire from the pad say to wash the pad be sure to unplug it. Leave it unplugged until you put it back together, otherwise the yellow light will blink and keep blinking. The seller was very responsive to my questions. Excellent customer service. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the lack of clarity in the instructions. But I recommend this heater.
