The electric/heated part already stopped working

Bought for an elderly person who has had an old cotton electric blanket for many years that worked very little at maximum power. Initially it prided itself on having a heat setting that matched the number on the dial, but that only lasted until Christmas, now Valentine's Day, and it's stopped entirely. The instructions say to make sure there are no creases, the poor old man walks around his bed, straightens the duvet after he wakes up in the morning, and before he goes to bed at night, he told me to come and now to make sure i need to find another one cause that sucks. save your money
