Not bulky at all, each compartment holds about 14 ounces of liquid. Please see the photo for size comparison with our medium shower head. INSTALLATION: I saw that some reviewers had trouble holding the cart in place, so I took getting the installation right very seriously. We have hard water stains on our ceramic tiles even though we have cleaned them thoroughly. So my trick (to ensure good adhesion) was to run a straight-edged razor blade to the tile I wanted to stick to and scrape hard (and gently) the hard water stains, as if you were putting a sticker on glass . . . Try to keep the blade as close to the tile as possible, applying firm pressure as you push. After a short while (1 minute) the stain turned to a white powder and I cleaned it as instructed. I used the double sided stickers that came with the kit along with ALL the adhesives that came with the kit. I also let the assembled product dry/cure for 24 hours according to the instructions without the carriage attached. It also meant not showering in the shower as the steam would prevent drying out. PREP: When the time came, I filled the container with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The foundation was tough with soap and also with conditioner as both products are a bit thick aka "creamy". MY SUGGESTIONS: Dilute conditioner, soap, etc. with water so that they have the liquid consistency of dishwashing liquid. This significantly reduces the time required for priming and extends the life of your products. You put water on your hair for shampoo/conditioner and dampen a washcloth/toilet for shower gel, so it makes no difference. I would suggest diluting them with water and mixing them in a separate bowl and then pipe them to the designated sections. GENERAL: There was some preparation, but the effort was worth the less-cluttered shower. where I no longer have to turn around and shake or tap/drop the last few drops from my bottles!
