Review on Tubbrella Innovative Bathtub Strainer Catcher by Melanie Gehrke

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I had never thought about the details of the hair trap before.

Tried 2 OXO hair traps but no mistake from them. You see my pup loves the silicone texture and chewed on the first one. So of course I bought a second one, but after every shower I picked it up so it was within reach. It was inevitable that one day I would forget that, and that day the bathroom door would remain ajar and she would find her way in to chew on the OXO hair trap again, much to my dismay. So of course I went to Amazon to buy a new one but thought I might be able to find a cheaper one as I'm sure it would happen again. Isn't this the only hair trap model with raised drain plugs? Silicone, with small holes for water, gets dirty all the time and occasionally lets hair through unnoticed. Surely this is the norm. And when I was looking for a cheaper silicone trap, Revain came up with this elegantly designed Tubbrella. It was double the price but I figured there must be something special about it. Just take a look. Not only is this little gadget not made of silicone, but it is durable, patented and supports a small family business. Its design is whimsical, understated and not embarrassing in the bath. Instead, I am very pleased with its elegance. It's streamlined and perfectly weighted at the top, which is probably the icing on the cake of its impeccable design. The metal material is much easier to clean (no slime build-up) and picks up significantly more hair than OXO. In fact, I realized how much of my long hair I had lost after a shower with this little guy. And did I mention it comes in different colors? I chose silver. And the best part is, my pup didn't even notice! Metal is not as fun as a cheap toy compared to silicone. Thank you for such a wonderful little product. I will continue to use this bad boy and look forward to enjoying it in the future!
