Review on πŸ‘š Speedo Women's UV Short Sleeve Swim Shirt Rashguard - Discontinued by Tammy Pochmara

Thin, unattractive fabric

Like all fabrics used in mass-produced clothing today, the fabric of this shirt is thin. I wear swim trunks over my bathing suit to keep me warm when swimming outdoors in summer where the water is typically mid 70's. I was wearing a Speedo t-shirt which is almost the same cut as this one but was made a few years ago. It's about twice as thick and has better opacity. This thin shirt shows every fold and seam of the suit (and every bulge of the person in it!). This is very unfavorable. It is also too long and hinders mobility. To get the right length I have to gather it at the waist which isn't pretty at all. Love the SPF 50 feature and the sizing is spot on - the medium will probably fit up to a size 10, maybe even a 12. I just wish manufacturers would stop stamping this cheap flimsy fabric. I suspect it will expand before even one season is over. On the contrary, I've been wearing my current shirt for three seasons. If I need a new one, I guess I'll go to the men's department - I'm assuming they don't use flimsy, flimsy material for men's shirts there.

Pros
  • Raglan sleeves improve mobility and freedom of movement
