I have had one since 01/20/19 since installation which already makes it the best suction cup I own. If people's reviews say it doesn't suck, it could just be a bad score, or it's likely they got it wrong. Before purchasing, please make sure you are using it on a smooth, shiny surface such as glass or shiny, perfectly flat tiles. Suction cups will not work on textured tiles so do not try. Second, make sure you clean the surface well, especially when it's in the shower. If you don't clean the surface first, it won't adhere well due to the small amount of water residue. I used Kaboom mold and mildew stain remover. Finally, make sure you follow the instructions. You will be asked to spin only a certain number of times, then wait 24 hours, then spin more, after which you can place an object on it. I hope this helps you with your purchase decision :)
