Nice to throw away

I used them at our sailing club party and they were great. We don't have an industrial dishwasher (or even a dishwasher at all!) so most of the dishes we use have to be disposable. While we can't compost these bowls, at least I'm glad they don't end up in landfill forever like plastic or styrofoam.

  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Happy with these bowls.

I bought these bowls because I liked the idea of throwing them in my compost bin instead of in the landfill. These bowls are fairly durable and are great for wet food, including microwaving. As others have pointed out, they are very strongly interconnected and splitting up the required amount and breaking them up ahead of time can save you a lot of frustration in the long run. Once broken, they don't shrink anymore. I rather like their simplicity and will be ordering some in a larger size. 12…

Works well with boiled water!

I use it 5 days a week for a month. I have them for the very specific purpose of using them for instant oatmeal when I can't conveniently wash the bowl but have a kettle to add gently boiling water. And for that they showed themselves perfectly! As I add boiling water, the table underneath collects moisture, but it's just condensation; I haven't had any leaks in any of the bowls I've used. To my surprise, they're still strong when simply filled with boiling water - two arms on a small ledge are
