Bought a 64 ounce sports water container to take water up at night and keep it down during the day but oddly the bottle company provided a straw which wasn't enough for a long time. Make a straw hole outside - it was too short! Still wanted to use a bottle so I ordered this one. Requires 13 inches or more for them to work perfectly. I like that they flex to a degree. Not like soft silicone straws but flexible enough for my needs.

I drink a lot of water every day from a large gallon container and the original straw has finally failed. While I'm trying to reduce or replace the use of plastic, the metal straws I have are ruining the taste of the water. These plastic straws seem strong enough to last a long time. Also, I received a very friendly email from the distribution company (adequate customer service seems to be a rarity these days), which I really appreciated.

I don't know why I didn't know straws had been around for so long, but I'm glad they have been around. These are the straws next to my 64 ounce bottle.
