Ideal and practical for anti-theft protection

I bought a 2012 Kia for my soul. Very easy body swap. Don't pay for programming, it's not required! You Tube showed me how to make a switch. The only issue I have is that the lock on the flip key sometimes won't engage. The buttons work as they should and it took me five minutes to toggle them.

Happy Wife Happy Life :)

Tired of using a toothpick to unlock my wife's 2012 KIA Soul with just any remote control I bought two of these key fobs for relief and am so glad that i did it When I called KIA to find out how much it would cost to fix my keys I was shocked at the price quoted and immediately went online to see if I could fix them myself. These replacement keychains are perfect. It took about 20 minutes to swap both out and my wife couldn't be happier. Happy wife happy life :)

Cheap, easy, works great!

I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy I was able to make this repair! The translation was concise, all I needed was pliers and a small Phillips screwdriver, and my 2011 didn't have a transponder chip so it was a breeze. It was as simple as opening the old case, rearranging the components, winding the spring a few times (the hardest part, but I got it after a few tries) and voila, a new key fob case. I recommend this cheap and easy remedy. The key fob looks great (my old unlock button

2011 Kia Soul - Wheelbase not an exact match

I've read reviews of how the 2011 Kia Soul assembly fits and doesn't fit. While the space inside fits on a circuit board, it doesn't fit snugly enough for the buttons to hit the right spots. I have yet to get it working, but I know I'll need to put in some "wrap" or maybe some light glue to make sure everything is tight enough to fit and not move around in the key case. the hassle of taking my original key apart for the transfer and it was beyond frustrating to find that the distance was too…

For those wondering there are tiny screws in the package to hold the keychain together. Some cheaper versions don't have this screw and will fall apart over time. It was easy to take my old key fob part and replace the electronic part. If I were smarter I could take the supplied blank and copy my old one to the new one. But since I'm pretty cheap I didn't do that. I used a hole punch kit to remove the pin holding the blank to the new piece of metal and my old key to the old piece of metal, then

Cheap plastic. The lock with the key is already worn out

that was just enough for 2 months. The lock that keeps the key outside is already worn out, so the key falls out in an L-shape every time you drive, jumping with every hit. I only have 3 keys on my keychain so weight isn't the issue. To be honest, I'm afraid that if I keep riding like this, the constant bumps that cause the L-shape to move up and down might ruin my starter. I don't know maybe I just have a bad model or what but the return time has passed so I'm just unlucky with the looks.…

Hidden complications

The product itself is in perfect condition. High quality bowl/lid at the lowest price. The problem is in the old key fob. Disassembling can be tricky and you have to be careful not to damage the internal components. Vehicles in general, and even different years/model series, can be assembled differently, making it impossible to provide buyers with instructions that cover all the possibilities for transferring the inside of an old key fob to a new key fob. In my old key fob, the ignition…
