Sturdy connectors on fiber optic cables

I have purchased this item twice. Both times for use with 1Gb transceivers on both ends in a home network environment. As you can imagine with my home network, I've plugged and unplugged the cable a few times and it always has a solid physical connection and no traffic issues.

Pros
  • Fiber optic cables
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Faulty ST connector on one of the cables

I bought 5 sets of these duplex cables to connect to an old fiber optic factory on campus that used ST connectors and OM1 62.5/125 cables . Of these 5 duplex cables, one cable had a defective ST connector that could not be plugged into any of the patch panel sockets. I'm glad I bought the extra cable.

Pros
  • AV Accessories
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Potential separation, since the "child" switch is not on the UPS but on a mediocre mains filter.2. Purchase fiber optic material to use an SFP port for GigaFirst uplink. It was plug and play. Updated my optics to DOM optics and saw the…
