Description of 🛡️ 3M Scotch SJ5201 Self Adhesive Bumpers: Protect and Cushion Surfaces Effortlessly

3M Bumpon SJ Series Self-Adhesive Bumpers are pressure sensitive adhesive-backed polyurethane products that can be used as feet, stops, spacers and protectors in many applications. The aggressive, high tack pressure sensitive adhesive is protected with a release liner making application fast and easy. The plasticizer-free urethane composition of the bumpons exhibits excellent skid resistance, long aging resiliency (will not crack or harden), abrasion resistance and resistance to marring and staining. Use 3M Bumpons almost anywhere slamming, scratching, nicking, scuffing, marring, sliding, vibration, or noise could be a problem for your product. Application Instructions: (1) Apply to any smooth, flat surface such as glass, metal, wood, smooth plaster, tile, etc. (2) Surfaces must be clean and dry. With a clean cloth, use a low strength solvent like isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or heptane (white gas). (3) Do not attempt to use on fabric, course concrete walls, rough sand finishes, loose paint or rough wallpaper. (4) Remove paper liner. Avoid touching adhesive with fingers. Place bumper desired location and press firmly. Uses and Applications: Feet on the bottom of blenders, desk-top calculators, electronic cabinetry, telephones, keyboards, foot pedals, scales, clocks, speakers, dispensers and computers; Stops for cabinet doors, lids and drawers; Spacers for picture frames to provide alignment; for auto glass as an aid in assembly; Protectors for stacked glass and metal sheets.

Quieted our noisy cabinets

The bumper did an excellent job of deadening the noise of our oak cabinet doors. Every time our doors were closed, especially when children closed them, there was an accompanying crash. These bumpers solved the problem and are much quieter than bumpers with silicon dots.

As usual, 3M gets it right.

Previously tried some soft plastic clear bumpers with knobs but the reaction between the plastic and the cabinet trim resulted in them actually softening and sticking to the drawer door/front; annoying, really had to rip open the closet door to loosen the sticking. These 3M bumpers don't have that problem and offer more cushioning (quieter). BENEFITS Good quality self-adhesive backing High damping (quiet, does not slam when cabinet door closes) Does not chemically react with cabinet/drawer…

Quiet kitchen: fast and cheap!

My wife and I are fed up with the loud sound of slamming (self-closing) kitchen cabinet doors. Our friends have used and recommended Rok Hardware soft-close dampers, which are $50 for 25 pack. After doing some research and realizing that you have to drill your cabinets (at an angle!) and bolt on dampers (and pay good money for it), I scoured Revain for cheaper, simpler alternatives. Presto! Self-adhesive scotch pads! We have a ton of it for about twelve bucks. Less than five minutes after…
