We make at least one 5-gallon cold drink each day at our local coffee shop, and spending over $70 on filters wasn't ideal. These filters are a great alternative to the Toddy brand. They are thicker and more like cloth than thin paper. They are the same size as the Toddy brand filters. It's nice not to worry if the filter breaks because it doesn't. The only difference from Toddy brand filters is the pre-cut string used to tie the filters. Overall a great product.

I would not recommend this product. The description says paper but it isn't. The packaging doesn't say exactly what it's actually made of. It's a durable material, but more of a synthetic fabric, probably plastic. Think of the disposable pillowcases found in airlines or hospitals. It also has a very strong odor that doesn't appear to be food safe. I wouldn't feel comfortable using it for cold brewing, and I'm willing to bet it adds some plastic flavor to your coffee.

A long lasting, large capacity filter, but it should be noted that this is a perforated filter, NOT a fleece filter. I've used all the typical methods of making large batches of cold drinks (pillow cases, almond milk strainer, etc.), this filter has the slowest speed (SEE PHOTO BELOW). I used it to make a batch of 2 gallon cold drinks and as you can see a lot of fine particles went through the filter even after doubling the filter and sieving a second time.
