Sucks Water Quickly

We were struggling with water in a basement in an area where there was no access to a sump pump. We took turns vacuuming water every hour and a half, 24 hours a day. (I found having a baby exhausting lol) I liked that we could hook up a garden hose and the water would go straight into the swamp without having to carry water to flush. Great seller and great vacuum cleaner.

Misleading video of draining water through a hose

From the video it looks like water is being sucked out. Water is constantly drained through a hose. It's not like this. The wet vacuum still shuts itself off when you reach a certain water level. Then you need to remove the vacuum hose from the water you are sucking, press the power button, and at this point the water will be drained through the hose, which is a bit slow. Otherwise, this is a good wet vacuum.

Everything is fine except the continuous pump does not work

This is a wonderful pump, powerful, fast. However, despite my best efforts, I can't get the continuous pumping of the garden hose to work, which is actually the main reason I wanted this pump. The instructions are simple, and there seems to be a problem sucking for continuous pumping. It's possible I received a defective product, but it's impossible to tell other than that it's not pumping consistently as intended. Not sure how that would work considering the tank fills up in seconds and the…

DOESN'T WORK: Cleaning and hygiene item

Received this yesterday and assembled according to the instructions. It sucks up water, but the pump doesn't work, so we now have a vacuum with 12 gallons of water that we have to manually empty. As soon as the water reached a certain level due to the fact that the pump was not working, it stopped sucking, which according to the instructions will happen. I did what the instructions say, which is to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds to get the pump to work, but that didn't happen. I…

Pool vacuuming is good for vacuum cleaner

:) I bought this to vacuum the bottom of the pool. It may seem strange, but that's what is being done. I could use a pool system but I don't like sending crap to a DE pool filter if I can avoid it. It made it. Since this was a pool and not 2 inches of water in a basement or something, I had to drill a 3/8 hole in the extension, closer to the top so it would draw in water more slowly than it would without it. A piece so made that fits on the head of a vacuum cleaner, but it didn't work because…

Save reason, no longer empty the bucket by hand!

This shop Vac Pump Vac saves your health! I have a leaky basement that I'm still trying to fix, and after the rainstorms my 12 gallon wet and dry vacuum filled up every 45 minutes, day or night. The manual, of course, says not to leave it unattended, but I left it on all night so I could sleep and I woke up to a dry basement, not a flooded one. Literally no shop around me has this line of Shop Vacs! (Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, True Value etc they all don't even sell it) Thank goodness…
