Exact Replacement - Parts

Fits my GMC Canyon 5 cylinder exactly. They removed the driver's side wheel arch and replaced the thermostat in minutes.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Will not fit all

2016 Silverado LT 4.3 V6

Perfect fit, installation. Works perfectly. I think I read somewhere that this value is set to 208ยฐ and that seems very accurate. I noticed that the old one I removed had a different # part than this one. Maybe a newer version? It also says Made in Mexico. It's also cheaper than buying from a dealer.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Low repairability

OE Quality and Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning Compatibility

Replaced thermostat and radiator on 2014 Silverado with 5.3 liter engine. GM has a TSB for an original equipment thermostat that runs too often and cracks the radiator. My thermostat was clearly lazy and didn't reach full operating temperature during the cold Illinois winter. Replacing the thermostat was very easy and fixed the problem straight away. The truck now heats up quickly to 210* as shown on the dashboard and heats up the cab MUCH faster.

  • Durable Test Results

Truck back to normal

Truck has not been used for over 2 weeks I think my thermostat has failed because of this. When I came home from work one evening, I noticed that my thermometer was not reading, my fans were on. Even when I parked the truck my fans stayed on, waited 5 minutes and still on. I didn't want to find out how long they take to turn off the battery or possibly drain it, so I just unplugged the battery. Replaced thermostat and coolant temperature sensor, no more problems after that. I will keep youโ€ฆ

Fixed coolant temperature below normal

Direct installation replacement for 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with 5.3L engine. The part included a thermostat, a water outlet, and a rubber O-ring. This replaced my 77k mile original which was stuck open. The truck has not heated up over 180 and then 160 degrees in the last week. I only noticed it because the temperature sensor readings were below normal. This change was easy. Drained about a gallon from the radiator tap, removed the airbox, removed the coolant hoses, then unscrewed the threeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
