Very easy to install. However, it's a bit of a process to get there.

Fits perfectly with no problems. A little process to get to the actual work, but it worked. Remove the rear seat and slide it forward. Remove the back panel from the window. Carefully twist and loosen the clips on the end of the window rail, remove the spool assembly, then disconnect the cable end from the slide base and install the new assembly. reverse process.

    The exact exchange worked great.

I can't believe I didn't fix the rear powerslider sooner. OEM part and perfect fit. Installation wasn't difficult at all. Took about 1.5 hours but could have been a lot quicker if I knew what I was doing. A few installation notes. Remove the entire back seat. Thoroughly clean the window guide at the top and bottom. Before installing the cable, apply dry lubricant to all guides and rubber seals so that the window moves easily enough. The seat belt center bracket must be pulled forward so that…

Easy do-it-yourself window regulator and motor assembly project

Part is a genuine AC Delco part as advertised. It was easy to install (after removing the rear seats) and fitted perfectly. The hardest part of the job was removing the rear seats. When completed, the regulator assembly worked just as well as the factory part. Definitely recommend as a DIY project. You don't have to be a mechanic to replace this part. A few tips: 1) Take a picture of the old assembly before removing it so you can install the new cable in the correct position, and 2) Be sure to…

    Works after disassembly.

After a quick check of the fit, I was skeptical after reading the reviews. It looked fine, so I started reinstalling. After plugging it in, I noticed that the device was locked so it couldn't tug on the cables in any way. I disassembled the spindle, noticing how poorly the cable was packaged. By straightening it out and straightening the cable, I was able to slide the cable over the window and then lower it down the sides for a proper install. See pictures below. Be sure to attach the cable to…

Unnecessarily difficult installation on a 2008 Long Cab Silverado LTZ

As mentioned, this is a tricky setup. I had to remove both rear seats, the lower window trim behind the seats, the car seat hinges, use a pry bar to pry back the upper center seat belt bracket to route the cable through, and remove the window stopper on the right side of the sliding window to install the cable. Worked like clockwork after installation. Also, do not remove the yellow retainer on the regulator above the screw hole, this will keep the cable springs taut until the unit is fully…

Perfect replacement for my Sierra 08

The metal ball on the end of the cable came loose from the cable when I opened the window. I could see the wire in the rail and hear the motor turning as I pushed the button. This component was the part I needed to solve the problem. You can search the forums for help with installation. It was easier for me to remove the entire back seat. I didn't remove the yellow clip until I was ready to attach the drive to the motor's gearbox. The hardest part is getting the back seat back. You must ensure…

Worked great on a 2013 Sierra HD

Once you have full access to the faulty part installation is a breeze. Some pain in the butt to get full access. This was the labor intensive part of this exchange. There are no instructions. I removed both seats for myself. As mentioned, you could most likely get by with this simply by removing the passenger seat. I decided to remove both because I needed extra room to remove the plastic trim. I didn't remove the driver's seat from the truck, just pushed it forward. It took about an hour and a

Directions were required but I figured it out. Difficult .

Needed instructions but I figured it out. It's hard to find directions online, you really have to look them up. I thought my cable was too short, but it isn't. YOU SHOULD MOVE THE SEAT CLOSER TO THE ENGINE, LEAVE THE YELLOW TENSION SPRING THERE UNTIL YOU ATTACH IT TO THE REAR PANEL. FIRST YOU NEED TO ATTACH THE CABLES AT BOTH ENDS, THEN CONNECT THE CABLE INTO THE DESIGNATED U-SHAPED SLOTS AROUND THE METAL FRAME, THE CORNERS WILL BE THE LAST CONNECTION. THE MAIN THING YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE…

Easy Fix - Here are some tips

This was the correct part to fix the rear window on my 2011 Silverado and these tips apply to this car. Installation was easy, it took me exactly an hour on the first try. With these tips you can do it in 45 minutes. Don't remove the yellow clip until the very end - this is the last thing you do2. Remove the rear passenger side seat only (4 x 18mm nuts and 2 x 10mm bolts securing it to the passenger seat).3. To allow the cable to slip past the center seatbelt loop, you must pull the cable out…

ACDelco part that fits my 2009 Silverado 4x4 Crew Cab

Part just what I needed! Usually the problem is not with the engine, here it is sold. Read other answers and reviews on installation. Remove both rear seats after separating them. Remove the 4" wide molding under the window. To remove the long section, remove the pulley from the end and then run a thin wire through each side of the seat belt buckle. Slide the strut forward a little to close it You will need to follow the same process to install the new long cable. Pry up on the pulley to…
