🔧 ACDelco GM Genuine Parts 88893990 Engine Oil Filter Adapter Gasket: Reliable Component for Optimal Performance Review

Part needs replacing. Replaced the oil lines and had to disrupt the oil filter housing. Without that part, it's the waist of time.

Bought this oil filter mounting plate gasket kit. I had a small leak under the oil filter gasket. This kit took care of the leak.

I am in favor of buying spare parts at the best price. However, DO NOT use this aftermarket gasket kit like Dorman does. Use AKDELKO. There's nothing worse than doing a job twice and trying to save money.

Just Right. stopped the slow leak and associated mess. GM quality, 15 minute install. Some grease to hold the large gasket in place, clean the o-ring groove with a cotton swab and tighten the screws securely. Couldn't be easier

Perfect for my 1993 C1500. When I removed the old one, there was no gasket, just an O-ring. Maybe the gasket isn't needed and the last guy who replaced it just didn't put the gasket in. I reinstalled the gasket and O-ring. Works perfectly. No leaks.

Anytime you need to replace the gasket and o-ring on your SBC oil cooler, make sure to use genuine GM parts! I have used fake brands just to make them leak. The only reason I had to replace the gasket and o-ring was because I had removed the radiator from one engine and installed it on another.

So the set I ordered from Revain didn't arrive on time. But I was able to buy the same set from the dealer. I used them to fix the leak. They appear to be well made and as an AC Delco they are of good quality. I have a 1996 k1500 Silverado with a 5.7 engine.
