Description of ๐Ÿ”Œ ACDelco Professional 9718Q Spark Plug Wire Set: Enhanced Performance and Reliability

Wire conductor, wire length, and diameter help provide maximum spark delivery and protection. Spark plug distributor boot shape and materials provide proper fit, installation, and water-tight seal. Terminal design improves spark plug retention and assists installation with excellent corrosion resistance. Insulator employs high dielectric materials. The length of the wire is 28.2 inches. Coil retainer prevents fretting and micro-arcing.

Delco Original Equipment AC

I installed these in March 2019. I thought I bought quality original equipment, it was a rainy snowy day, the coil wire failed, the spark popped out and rubbed the spark off the candles, I was very upset, I expect more from AC Delco.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

OEM cable for my 97 Tahoe!

These wires are OEM wires, perfect length and great quality. AC Delco all the way, at least for my '97 Tahoe. The 5.7 Vortex seems picky about spare parts. Stick with the OEM. Let's see the mileage. The first set has exceeded 130,000. Excellent value for money and quality!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Luckily I was able to swap them out for the right ones.

The cables didn't fit my car. Not even close. The rest of the parts purchased in this kit will fit. Luckily I was able to swap them out with the correct wires as mine got damaged when removing them. Just a small financial penalty.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • almost everything is ok

100% OEM and fits just right

100% OEM and fits just right. It may require STRONG pressure to get the end caps into a full click, make sure you do this and they will stay secure until you decide to remove them. If you miss that full click, you could end up with a misfire. I believe they are vastly superior to the aftermarket

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent value for money - highly recommend

They fit perfectly - always look and read reviews. My first order - they were short and had to be sent back. They go perfectly with my Chevy Tahoe! It's not that hard to replace - my wife did most of the work because she has small hands - it wasn't hard for her and I appreciated the help. Excellent quality and highly recommended!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost never

I know they are expensive but they are worth it.

Cheaper bought another brand standard. This is a popular brand, not as high quality but much cheaper. When it rained for the first time, my engine cut out. Coil wire and #1 wire sparked on metal objects. It's just the moisture in the air. When everything dried the next day, the dropouts were gone. I spent extra money on the real thing, ACDelco. While I was waiting for her arrival, it started raining again and the wires started bending again. After I installed the ACDelco cables, there was noโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are defects

May not include rotor cover wire.

Photo shows eight spark plug wires and one rotor cover wire. However, the product delivered had only eight ignition wires. The product description doesn't mention the rotor cover wire, so I'm guessing it's not included in this kit. So far I haven't had any problems with the ignition wires. Replaced the cap, rotor and spark plug leads and battery. After 1-1/2 turns of the starter, the 5.7 started right up and purred like a kitten. This was after sitting in the field for 1 year while on aโ€ฆ
