Description of Enhance Vehicle Diagnostics with Actron CP9125 C PocketScan Code Reader – 1996 and Newer Vehicles - Orange

Actron's CP9125 C PocketScan reads engine Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) on ALL 1996 & newer import/domestic vehicles sold in the USA (OBD II & CAN) as well as 1994-1995 OBD II compliant vehicles. This easy-to-use tool is perfect for both novice and moderately experienced do-it-yourself mechanics who want to determine the cause of Check Engine Lights without relying on a repair shop. Gives the user the ability to quickly determine the cause of a Check Engine light coming on - once repairs are made, PocketScan allows the user to clear the DTCs and turn off the Check Engine Light. PocketScan also displays the number of DTCs, Malfunction Indicator Light status, and Emissions status. Attached OBD II 16-pin connector cable provides both data and power connections.

Just want to order a Chevy Doctor.

On 10/26/2020 I received a High Voltage Charging System Service error on the dashboard of my 2015 Chevy Volt. At the moment the car cannot be loaded, maintenance work needs to be done. After I checked the coolant level, it was very low, about an inch in the tank, which caused the error message. I ordered coolant and this code reader from Revain, had the service done a few days later and like magic the error message went away, the check engine light went out and now my car can be charged again…

  • Absolute Legend

Great addition to your tool box!

When my spooky 'Check Engine' light came on I was terrified of what it could be. $XX just to check and then fix. Luckily this reader saved me. The price of this device was worth it as I was able to plug it in and it showed what the problem was. I wrote down the code I spotted, checked online what it was and shared it with my mechanic. I went from horrified to informed and much relieved. (Having a workshop I can trust is enough too.) This device allows you to turn off the check engine light…

  • GOLS certified

Good basic reader: diagnostic, test and measurement tools

I originally bought one of these OBD Bluetooth units to use with my smartphone. However, when I first used it to try to extract the code from a Nissan car, it said there were no error codes, even though the "Check Engine" light was on. I've tried several things suggested by other users but still nothing. Then I decided to bring it back and try this Actron CP9125. This is a basic code reader but unlike the BT device I bought this one was able to extract the code from the Nissan. After repairing…

Wish I had it sooner

So my car stalled and the check engine light came on intermittently. I took it to an auto repair shop but they don't know what's wrong with my car because the check engine light wasn't on when I brought it in for repair. They suggested I turn on and clean the throttle body. Since my car has 85,000 miles and has never been tuned, I agreed. My car looked fine for a few days. I hoped that was all and he just needed new spark plugs. The problem is back. It has a low idle, sometimes cuts out, the…

Beautiful Simple Cheap OBD Scanner

I bought an Actron CP9125 OBD scanner in December 2006 to keep in my old 1999 car because I want to be able to self-diagnose the check engine light as soon as possible. Many auto repair shops charge outrageous prices just to tell you what your check engine light means. While others (e.g. some auto parts stores) do free reading diagnostics, you can't always rely on it being near convenient access to determine if something needs immediate attention (e.g. if you're outside of the traveling home)…

  • Absolutely Amazing!
