Material changed for the worse, 2018

Material changed and now they are too small and cramped. They literally cut off circulation. The change happened sometime in 2018 or shortly before. Too bad, these used to be my favorite socks.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Bought to boycott Nike - good quality not too thick

Bought to protest Nike's lack of patriotism. Bought adidas socks for the first time. Good quality, good t-shirts. Not too thick, not too thin. Ankle length, exactly what I was looking for. White is actually white, not cream. No protruding threads, fits as expected. I always buy men's socks as they are actually unisex - suitable for women.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expandable

Cheap, hack, hack

The knit gauge of these socks (I wear a size 15 and bought accordingly) is terrible. I usually buy Walmart AND1 socks in a size 12 because they don't sell a size 15. These socks have a smaller gauge than these, even for a smaller foot. Worst of all, the sock (where the mesh is thicker) is WAY too small and only covers a toe and a half, meaning the seam, which is VERY uncomfortable, is right in the middle of my inner toes.

Pros
  • 97% polyester, 3% spandex
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Good quality and convenience.

They are comfortable and last about 6 months and invoice. They are significantly thinner than the cotton socks I usually wear. In my experience, these half-round socks go perfectly with Chelsea boots, which I wear every day in autumn, winter and spring. They also feel noticeably cooler than 100% cotton, but not to the point where my feet get cold in colder temperatures. I chose gray because I was hoping it would soften the dullness in my white cotton socks that only gets worse with age. So far…

Pros
  • Moisture-wicking threads keep sweat off your feet.
Cons
  • Difficult to say

A Careful Balance Best in Clothing

From the age of 10 to 17 I only wore ankle-length white socks. They served their purpose well, but of course they got dirty over time. At 18 it was time to grow up. So I switched to black socks - a logical step. Like the white socks, they served their purpose well and didn't (noticeably) get dirty over time. But the black sock introduced a new beast. Combined with the young man's mediocre washing skills, her fate was sealed from the moment of purchase. All of my favorite black socks faded…

Pros
  • Compression arch for a secure fit.
Cons
  • Little things
