I bought this item for my son at school. He has to wear a tight black tie every day. I bought two of these. Even if I used both within a month of school starting, one broke and since I ordered them before school started I wasn't eligible for a return. Quite disappointed as it looked like a good buy at first. If you intend to use it daily, then you should look for a better option. But if you only need it from time to time, this is a great easy-to-use tie.

My 5 year old son loves to wear his tie to special occasions like the school book fair. He wore it with a Hawaiian shirt. I got a lot of compliments on how gorgeous he looked, but that's all his idea. I gave the tie five stars because he loves it, he can wear it himself, it's well made and goes with everything. The stress of going to kindergarten has led him to an annoying habit of chewing on his shirt or tie. The tie withstands even this mockery.

As with all reviews before me, the zipper was of terrible design. But it was cheap and the color we wanted so I bought it anyway and hoped for the best. Worked for about 5 minutes. My 10 year old son was very upset that the tie was crooked and crooked for most of the evening (we bought it for a formal wedding, his first and he wanted to look good). If you're buying it for a painting and it won't take you more than an hour and you don't care how it fits, go for it. If you need it for one evening
