EASY TO INSTALL AND DEFINITELY HIGH QUALITY

I've read in some reviews that this product is difficult to install (e.g. hard plastic is difficult to slide through fender opening). The stiffness was perfect in my opinion. Enough for installation but clearly strong enough to last. I'm glad I bought it instead of asking the dealer.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • volume

Does not fit 100%: Electric

I tried 30 minutes so that the lip on the back went into the truck body cutout. It looks like a millimeter or two more and doesn't flex much to snap into place. It's better than the one it replaces, but doesn't look like it's waterproof unless the lip snaps in to seal everything. Currently it just lies flat and is not fully sealed where it comes in contact with the body.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are nuances

I don't know how to rate it. it worked but didn't fit like OEM

When installing I smeared grease all around. I wasn't able to get it back into the grooves on the antenna ornament like it should. I have 85% of the path but can't get it to "click"? It's better than it was (I think), but it's just not quite right. For the money I paid I probably don't care? Doesn't fit right, but not a lot of money. Better than the one he replaced that fell to pieces?

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

A simple solution to an annoying problem

The old element around the 2008 Tundra antenna rotted and fell apart. This product was ridiculously easy to install and made a huge impression right away! I used needle nose pliers to pry out the pieces of the old block and give the truck a good clean around it. The new part is plastic or fiberglass and I read reviews that said it was a bit difficult to install as it was more durable. I put some liquid soap on it and it held in place pretty well. I then tapped it with a small rubber mallet to…

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Damaged

Watched youtube video of a guy installing this. He used glass cleaner to lubricate the bezel prior to installation, which I found odd. It could be ammonia in the glass cleaner, I don't want it on my paintwork so I used car wax spray. It wasn't possible to carefully pull out the old frame as it crumbled into a hole, but that's not a problem. I left the factory antenna on, sprayed the faceplate with wax, and moved it down the antenna. Initial deployment is with the bezel backwards, and once it's…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

The original antenna mount dry rotted in my 2012 Tundra. I ordered it as a cheap alternative to the car dealership. The product arrived quickly and without any problems. The installation instructions are simple. After disconnecting the antenna and removing the remains of the old part, this replacement was installed with minimal effort. The part slides onto the antenna mount fairly easily, but trying to fit the part smoothly into the frame was a little tricky. I tried using the rubberized handle

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • old

Saved me $410 - Replacement parts

I thought it would be silly to think about it because it's just an antenna for my truck but it had to be fixed. When I called and made an appointment with our local Toyota dealer, they offered me $420 to replace the little black thing that holds the antenna in place and keeps water out. They said they had to fish out a new wire to the radio, climb into the dash, rip everything out and replace it. So I googled and saw a guy make it in less than 5 minutes. I counted 10 dollars, I will try. I…
