Cheap, Reliable, Fast, HomeKit Compatible, MUST BUY!

I have used Aqara devices in my HomeKit system for many years. The original WiFi hub kept dropping the connection. And I have a very reliable Ubiquiti home network with over 100 clients. The Aqara Wireless Hub was the only thing that gave me trouble. When this hub became available I bought Tag 1. I use a Poe to USB adapter to power it and it has been bug free since set up. Aqara continues to deliver reliable, fast devices!

The status of IR devices is not saved.

I bought this while trying to replace my Harmony Hub but unfortunately this product cannot detect the latest state of the IR device. This means for my projector setup if I switch from different inputs the projector will turn off if it is already on and vice versa. As a hub for other Aqara devices it works quite well, I'm not sure why the review form is asking me for "motion detection" as the device doesn't detect motion unless you buy the Aqara motion detector separately. From my research, the…

Very limited compatibility

I contacted Aqara about several accessories that support a standard called "zigbee" and bought this hub to connect with a Zigbee 3.0 compatible GLEDOPTO controller. I also took a Zigbee compatible smart plug. I was very disappointed to learn that despite all my googling to make sure they are compatible, they are not. It's not enough that all devices work with the Zigbee 3.0 standard, instead this Aqara M2 hub only supports Aqara brand accessories, not just any Zigbee devices, even as simple as…

Works as it should. - Electric

I did not use WiFi connection. I prefer a wired connection. Connecting the device to Apple HomeKit was easy. A bit of a disappointment comes with the HomeKit integration, though: this device seems to be all about security. Unlike the Philips Hue Bridge, you won't find your hub. And when you remove HomeKit's security system, all the sensors disappear. This is bad integration. Also, temperature sensors added to the hub will appear in the same room as the hub. Be sure to name your sensor after the

Great hub for starting HomeKit setup, almost perfect

I've had a 'regular' Aqara M1 Smart Hub as a base for my Aqara Smart Home System for a long time and it's great. When this new M2 hub was finally officially available in the US market, I ordered it because it had a feature that I really prefer in HomeKit hubs, which was the wired network option. When the M2 case arrived I was pleased to see that it was about as compact as the M1/M1s cases - slightly larger in diameter but about 1/3 thinner in thickness. Adding it to my HomeKit setup took less…
