Well suited for children's aquariums

I need a heater for my Beta's 3.5 gallon tank. I saw mixed reviews when it came to this heater but decided to go for it based on the price and the need to try it. I have no complaints about how the product works. I didn't want to hit a specific temp, I just needed to get the temp of the tank above the 70 it was at. I don't take my temperature every day, but several times a week. The thermometer always reads around 78 degrees. I can say he does what he has to do because the fish are very active.

This heater typically heated the tanks I tested (3 gallon and 5 gallon) to 82°F, which is a little hot. I took this heater in for cleaning when I was cleaning my tank. After a while I noticed a strange smell and realized that this heater was still connected to the mains. It's a common silly mistake, but good heaters can detect when they're overheating or run out of water and…
