👟 ASICS Gel Contend Black Men's Walking Shoes: Superior Comfort for Everyday Walks Review

I bought these shoes for my teenage son for the marching band (only requirement was all black shoes). He says they are very comfortable and offer enough cushioning for long periods of standing/marching (think parades and 4 hour workouts).

I ordered a 10.5 Extra Wide and got what looks like a narrow 10 even though the sticker on the box matches the receipt. My toes are crammed into my socks and pressed against the sides and top. I really like the Asics brand and was looking for a hiking shoe with arch support and a soft heel. The heel is great and there seems to be adequate support, but the toe let me down.

The shoes turned out larger and are quite comfortable. Helped with my plantar fasciitis. My negative thoughts on this shoe are that the insole of my right boot sometimes doesn't seem to be in the right position, so it's weird. Another thing is that if you fully lace up your shoes, you only have enough rope to tie a knot.

I'm a paramedic and I work 24/7. Boots worn for years. Finally decided to try this. Exit, climbing in a truck requires casualties. The first day I used them, my back pain was completely gone! I love her. I have the 12 1/2 W, my usual size, they were a bit longer but still feel great. I could get by with 12W.
