A few years ago I wore the Gel Nimbus line and stopped buying them due to a serious design flaw: the eyelets for the laces were not reinforced and a good, strong pull on the laces when tying they ripped through and through! This happened a couple of times and Asics offered to replace them but that didn't stop it from happening again and again.Luckily Asics fixed this recently and the cleats are all metal reinforced now so It was with great pleasure that I placed my first order for the Asics Gel…

These shoes have changed for the worse over the years. No longer worth $$$

I ordered these to replace an old version of the Gel-Nimbus. They took away what I liked most about these shoes. . lots of padding on the sole and a big toe (I ordered a wide one). I've compared them to the gel nimbus I currently wear and I really have nothing to compare them to. They look like my Nikes that cost me three times as much. These return. Too expensive for what they have become. I keep looking for athletic shoes that are closer to what the Gel Nimbus used to be.

The toe area is too tight/narrow!

Toe box is too tight/small. I'm thinking of bringing that back and looking for option 2E. For reasons that I and many other Asics fans cannot understand, the Nimbus line has become progressively narrower over the past few years. So her normal size shoes fit like they are narrow. For a normal landing, you must select 2E. Why Asics is doing this is unclear. Maybe the Asics product manager responsible for this line has very narrow legs and thinks the whole world will appreciate it as well? They're

Helped me get off the couch

To be honest most running shoes look the same to me. It's either that or I've been wearing the wrong size for most of my life. These shoes feel noticeably more comfortable and supportive than anything I've had in the past. I attribute this in part to the fact that they come in large sizes. and that Asics designs shoes for a variety of pronation needs. I used to run cross country at school, but that was ten years ago. I am now about 40 pounds overweight and am struggling to start running again…

Noticeable loss of quality

I've been wearing the Asics Gel Nimbus series to work for years. During that time, I went through the various changes that each new model year brought because they were still the best shoes for me to wear to work (I'm an RN). I typically have three pairs in circulation and swap them out no more than once a year, usually because I feel like that's a reasonable swap cycle given what I wear them for. Other times, of course, I've replaced her due to work-related accidents, a side effect of the…
