Liquid Courage. good for oils

You don't need perforated or slotted rotors. You don't need sports brake pads. Your brake fluid is the first source of trouble in most braking systems. It's like a brake upgrade in a jar. This stuff kicks ass and you will kick ass. This thing won't boil, even if your rotors look like it. The best $20 to spend on your car.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • infinitely sluggish

Stunning things. - Oils and Fluids

Works great on my road bike and is very economical. In all honesty, this is by far the best bang for your buck when it comes to brake fluid. Yes, there are better ones, but they all cost at least twice as much. I wish I could still get Blue and switch between this and that so I know when it's all fully flushed, but thanks to the government for that.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Ratio Kit

Good product!

Probably the best brake fluid I've ever put in my car. Motul is probably better but costs three times more. I usually use Bosch DOT 3/4/5.1 and that's a great brake fluid too. It's a low viscosity fluid and works very well with my 02" Hyundai XG350L. Probably perfect for most Hyundai models and years but you should always check multiple sources first. Your owner's manual will have this information if you have it. If not, digital copies are available online for free.

Pros
  • A wide choice
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Good brake fluid and how to find the blue thing

Yes, it's good brake fluid. I use it in my Saab and wife's Volvo. For those craving blue DOT 4 brake fluid, ATE still sells it in Europe. I recently bought a pair from an Ebay seller in the UK. The can doesn't say "DOT 4" because it doesn't meet Department of Transportation specs, but it's the same one that ATE sold here in the US. I feel like a rebel when I bleed my brakes with non state approved brake fluid!

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Sad technique

DOT 4 Performance Fluid meets ratings

Good Fluid. Its dry boiling point performance is not as high as other high performance brake fluids or even Ford Heavy Duty DOT 4 which is also a good option for the price. But this liquid has a higher boiling point when wet. That way, even if the fluid ages or you boil over after a hard day at the track, you still have a good fluid that exceeds DOT 4 specs. I have yet to go through my fluid change interval and will be going to the track with fresh fluid. If I run into any problems I'll let you

Warning - not for vehicles that require Low Viscosity (LV) fluids

ATE 200 is a great DOT 4 fluid but here's a warning. I have always used ATE 200 in my Porsches, but on my Macan ATE 200 the brake pedal squeaked a lot, which was actually coming from the master cylinder. Turns out this is a common problem when using ATE 200 in cars (or at least Porsches) that require a low viscosity (LV) fluid. So if you drive a newer Porsche or Audi I recommend sticking with an OEM branded fluid or Pentosin LV fluid. I will continue to use ATE 200 on my '10 911. When I washedโ€ฆ

Excellent quality brake fluid

First of all I miss the old BLUE fluid. While not the best racing brake fluid out there, it's quite good and works well for most applications (e.g. HPDE, race day, high performance street cars). I use it on my Spec Miata in the winter and find as long as I keep the fluid fresh and bleed the calipers between race weekends I can't tell it apart from expensive branded items. switch to a higher temperature fluid by the second half of the race. For HPDE, trackdays or winter racing, this is a greatโ€ฆ
