If you connect the cable to the speedometer and then to the gearbox, the plastic sleeve at the end of the speedometer will separate from the cable housing because the inner cable is too long. You can't just cut the end off because the end of the cable is welded and square. So when you cut it off it isn't square to fit on the speedometer. I returned this product for a refund.

The product description shows a rubber grommet for the firewall - it wasn't in my kit so I had to reuse the old one. It also did not arrive with cable lube as stated in the description.
