I bought this a few weeks before my trip to China. When I got there, it didn't stay in the wall. I've tried it on multiple outlets in different locations and as soon as you plug it in it pops out far enough that it has no connection. Now I'm back and I can't get it back and I have no money. That sucks. Don't waste money.

Bought for a trip to China. Worked great. My only advice if you are going to Asia is to also bring a UK/Europe converter ---> Chinese. Even in an expensive western hotel, I only opted for one American socket, the rest was British/European, so I couldn't use multiple sockets in the room for different things. I liked that it has USB so I could charge my phone with the plug. It was of great help.

Having an adapter with USB ports was great as it allowed me to increase the number of desktop power outlets in Australia and New Zealand. and a table or shelf - I've never had a complete problem with that, but I've had a hotel where it came in handy. I recommend this adapter for people traveling to Australia, New Zealand and China with USB devices.

Probably a great part and probably works well. I don't know because I've never used it. I didn't see the note at the end of the description that "This is not a power converter". If I had seen that, I would not have bought this item. It makes absolutely no sense that this element is NOT an energy converter. As the electricity has to be switched from 240 to 110 in the country that should use it, I don't break my phone. There's nobody to be mad at but me, but it pisses me off.

To ensure that your electronic devices are always charged, this item must be included in your travel kit. The USB ports do not require a transformer/voltage converter. Used it on a trip to New Zealand earlier this month. We stayed in 3 different guesthouses and 3 different hotels/motels. Neither had an adapter; I just asked out of curiosity. I got what I paid for. It works as expected. The two USB charging ports were quite handy in addition to the American socket. I was able to turn on my laptop and charge two smartphones at the same time. And since my laptop also had a USB charging port, I was able to charge my camera too. Now that I'm back in the States, the adapter is useless. This would be an additional feature if the Australian/New Zealand fixed vanes were not "fixed".
