Auto Meter 2204 Mounting Cup Review

Good holder for the price. The reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to modify the base to get the right angle when mounted on my rack so I could see the gauges properly. I don't think the angle I wanted was so unusual that it couldn't be factored into the design. On a positive note where I had to remove a part there was a lot of material so the structure of the product is still very good.

I purchased an Auto Meter 2204 measuring cup to install a Max Tow water temp gauge on the dash of my old F350 IDI Diesel Turbo Utility Truck. I needed a more accurate sensor to monitor the engine temperature in my recently rebuilt 7.3 IDI turbo diesel. The cup is easy to install and works well. I went ahead and bought a Max Tow to match the transmission temp gauge and EGT pyrometer and installed them side by side in the Auto Meter Gauge cups. All look good. I used it on my 27 Ford T Roadster. Since I don't have a hood, I mounted it to a cross brace that I attached to the firewall support rods on the radiator. Sturdy construction, beautiful appearance. Excellent value for money and quality. Brass adapters allow for versatile installations depending on how and where you want to install them. I found a small area on the dashboard so that it rises above the northwestern part of my steering wheel. I purchased this Auto Gauge Mounting Cup for use with the Auto Meter 6103 Cobalt Mechanical Boost/Vacuum Gauge. I was disappointed when the mounting cup arrived with shiny brass screws. This may seem trivial to some but I think this should be sent as shown in the images or the image should be updated.
