Beltronics 015007-6 STi Magnum Radar Detector: Ultimate Protection for Drivers Review

Bought this detector in early December and am very happy with it. This detector now has a segmentation feature so you can program your desired KA frequencies for optimal performance. This detector's range is (in my opinion) on par with the Escort Redline (remember it's made by Escort subsidiary Beltronics) and has a magnesium frame for added durability. This detector is worth the money as it should save you numerous receipts.

This radar detector is amazing. It has an extremely long range both on-axis and off-axis. It feels like a premium magnesium body product and can be segmented and programmed to the driver's taste. It features auto-mute, adjustable screen brightness, and an amazing rear antenna. I bought a Whistler radar detector which I had a week before buying this one and the reason I bought this is because I drove past a cop in the Whistler and then the radar detector started warning.

Great radar detector. I've ridden around Virginia and DC about a dozen times and had no problems. I put it in stealth mode at night and hide it under a hat on the dashboard during the day. It alerts me before I see the police. I wish it had GPS capability but none of the stealths have. I was also considering Red Line and was 50/50 for so long but finally settled on this one after reading many, many reviews. I'm not disappointed.

I really wanted this Magnum STI to replace my old Beltronics RX65 (M4) radar detector. Overall range was definitely better, but in the K range (24.1) it faked more than my RX65.
