Contains 4 packages of 12- 13 Gallon Bags, 48 bags total. Certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute to meet the ASTM D6400 standard. Better than expected

Thanks to all the previous reviews for helping me decide to give it a try and I hope my experience inspires you! This is not a trash bag without tears. My compromise for punctures or moisture is to place a pad of newspaper between the bag and the bin along with a container of baking soda, and then place another sheet of newspaper in the bag. This will help absorb condensation and prevent frequent tears. I know I'm wasting paper. But if I don't find a responsible routine or a handy green item…

Works well when used properly

I bought these to use as regular garbage bags. Most of my trash is biodegradable/compostable, but NYC is so backward that they don't have a decent city compost collection, and I'm not interested in just taking a very select portion of my compostable materials to farmers markets once a week. As a West Coast settler, I find it appalling how backward this city is. In any case, these bags are fine. Finally a great compost bag for the kitchen!

Finally! This is the only manufacturer I know of that makes large kitchen size (13 gallon) bin liners. Everyone else seems to think 3 gallons is enough. Well, if you have a family or use a lot of fresh groceries or juices at home, 3 gallons just won't do. We have a compost-only kitchen bucket and use it as a liner.
