Handy size for a compost bin

I doubted the size was too big, but it was the perfect size for a countertop compost bin and has extra room to either tie around the bin or pull out to keep the compost from touching the lid. The bags are airtight when carried and suitable for composting.

Pros
  • Packed in a compostable natural box.
Cons
  • Some small things

Ideal for compost bins

I use these in my desktop compost bin and they are the perfect size. They tolerate solids much better than liquid products like tomato seeds, which ooze through the bags after a day or so. With ordinary vegetable scraps, they can sit on the counter for a week with no visible loss of integrity. They decompose well in my compost cup and disappear in the summer when it's hot. A good alternative to cleaning a dirty can.

Pros
  • Certified for industrial composting (BPI certified - ASTM D6400)
Cons
  • Not sure

biodegrades too quickly

Love the concept of these bags. They are more expensive than the competition. Yes you use this for compost bags and don't take them out every other day then they will stop leaking because the nature of fruit and veg waste is such that it contains a lot of water. Moisture ends up seeping through the brakes into the bag, and then you have to empty the bin. It saddens me to leave a bad review for a product with a good cause. I suppose if you change your compost bag every day this is a great…

Pros
  • Fits 1 gallon countertop container
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled
