Great iron for irons and steam irons

I have been using this brand of iron for many years as it is lightweight (very important to me) and very easy to use. It has all the features I need like steam boost and spray. Unfortunately, my last two irons only lasted a few years. I hope this isn't a new trend in B&D irons. I still prefer them.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • embarrassing item

Retractable cord does NOT retract fully. I ordered a replacement for the first one as the cable wouldn't retract. The second had the same problem, with the added bonus of a rattling noise, as if a piece had broken off inside. Decided to buy another iron. So save yourself the hassle and get another model!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Poor impression

There is no "no steam " feature.

Based on other reviews, my iron wasn't the only one I've used before. When I filled it with water and turned it on, it spat out limescale. So it wasn't a new iron, and on closer inspection I noticed stains on the handle and dials that weren't mine. Even if you want a dry iron without steam, don't buy it. This is not possible, the only way to dry iron is to empty the water chamber. I think it's really strange.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • A nuisance
