Do not worry. on iron

I wanted to love this iron, I really did. I bought to replace my chi iron which died after a year. Not wanting to spend $60 on another one and hours of research, I went with this one. First, I use an iron daily to make a living from my sewing business. I love the weight and feel of this iron. And it ends there. Every time you fill the tank with water, it leaks! And not just a little, but a LOT! The shutdown time is short, which is annoying, but I could deal with it. The water leak and inability

NOT for quilters and seamstresses!

As a quilter, seamstress and seamstress, my granddaughter needs an iron that heats, steams well, doesn't leak or spatter. It's not like this. The first thing I noticed was that my melt fleece wasn't sticky. I've found that the iron shuts off after 10-15 seconds in a horizontal position even after lifting and pressing new areas while following the mfg. directions, resulting in cooling of the iron and lack of adhesion. It was then paused further while I was stroking the footage on my big board…

Expensive and somewhat strange paperweight!

I have always trusted Black & Decker products but I fear I have lost that trust. I've had this iron for almost 5 months now and I haven't used it much and after using it I've been happy with it. But I really needed it the other day, I got out the ironing board and iron and I was ready to do what needed to be done. The iron started to heat up, I warmed up and after ironing one thing something seemed wrong. The iron began to cool and then cool down. Tried a few other outlets hoping that was the…

If you need heat at all, that's junk.

This iron is the worst. After moving I used my small travel iron for crafts (with HTV etc) and it wasn't bad but it was really small so when I bought a new iron I tried to get an iron with good reviews and a big soleplate , So I can just click on the htv. This iron has the most uneven heat of any iron I have ever used. There is a 2-3 inch circle in the center that gets absurdly hot while the rest of the iron is just warm (by iron standards). I burned a lot of HTVs and ruined a few shirts before

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Crumpled

The scale is "off " and the temperature knob is in a bad place

I had this iron for pretty much exactly 3 years until the day it killed me. Although it never leaked, I always had trouble with how it balanced (with or without water). The slightest bump on the ironing board sent it falling. Within the first week of ownership the decorative plastic on the outside is cracked and missing from falling off the ironing board. I liked the rinse function and the steam worked well until it broke. The position of the temperature control was NOT optimal, I constantly…
